On-Site Mixed Concrete

STATE OF ILLINOIS APPROVED MIX DESIGNS
Advanced Concrete has mix designs that have been approved by the Illinois Department of Transportation. We are proud that our mix designs have been approved by the State of Illinois.
FRESH CONCRETE MEANS HIGHER STRENGTH
The Advanced On-Site Method allows more accurate control of the water/cement ratio. This eliminates the need of retempering and offers the ability to add water reducers and superplasticizers efficiently. Thus freshness of mix and consistent results mean greater strength attainment for a given mix design.
ELIMINATES NEED FOR MIX OVERDESIGN
By producing freshly mixed concrete at the job site, and controlling the time factor, there is no need to increase the cement content. The retempering process is eliminated because the concrete is mixed fresh for each application.
ENDS CONCRETE DETERIORATION
With the Advanced On-Site Method concrete is placed at its full compressive and flexural strength potential because it is mixed rapidly and delivered immediately.
CONTROLS AND MAINTAINS SLUMP
Slump can be increased or decreased immediately. This is equally true of changes in the proportions of sand, stone, and cement in the mix design.
OVERCOMES HOT WEATHER PROBLEMS
By mixing and placing within a few minutes most problems with early setting are eliminated, as are the problems of having to add large amounts of water to make the concrete more workable.
MIXES CONCRETE THOROUGHLY
The Advanced On-Site Method combines three forces in the high energy mixing chamber to ensure thorough mixing: turbulence, re-circulation, and pressure action. The controlled amount of concrete being mixed at any one time, combined with rapid rotation of the mixer element, ensure a homogeneous mix.
ENDS CONCRETE WASTE
Concrete is mixed and delivered as needed with the Advanced On-Site Method, which eliminates overruns and wasted material by producing the exact quantity needed for a project. Click here to calculate your concrete quantity.
CONTROLS TIME VARIABLE
The ability to proportion and mix on the job eliminates the single biggest problem with conventional concrete production and delivery. When the time between batching and delivery is not controlled and consistent, wide variations in the strength, slump, workability can occur. The Advanced On-Site Method produces and delivers right on the job site, thus providing a consistently high-quality mix.
ELIMINATES NEED TO RETEMPER CONCRETE
Most concrete producers find it necessary to add water to the mix to make the concrete easier to work with when it arrives at the job site. This is due to the lag time between batching and delivery caused by uncontrollable transportation time. Retempering changes the water-cement ratio and ultimately reduces the strength of the end product. The Advanced On-Site Method entirely eliminates the need to retemper concrete as production and delivery can be stopped and resumed at any time. Mixed materials are never held for future discharge.
REDUCES CHANGES IN CONSISTENCY
Most concrete will change in consistency from the beginning to the end of the load; this affects the workability, strength, and slump of the concrete. There is no beginning or end with the Advanced On-Site Method because delivery is always continuous and the product placed is always fresh and consistent.
TAKES FULL ADVANTAGE OF ADMIXTURES
Advanced On-Site Method units offer the most efficient method of adding an increasing variety of admixtures, such as water reducers, air entraining agents, superplasticizers, retarders, accelerators, etc. Advanced On-Site Method provides flexibility of admixture selection and the most desirable way to secure optimal workability and strength.
